BACK TO LISTEN TO MY MUSIC

I love this song since I've heard it some 50 years ago for the first time. But the song is even much older. Although in his essence, the lyrics didn't take much wrinkles since.
“Ballad of a Thin Man” is a 1965 Bob Dylan song from Highway 61 Revisited that delivers a biting, surreal critique of a clueless, establishment figure—“Mr. Jones”—who moves through strange, chaotic scenes without understanding what’s happening around him.
Through sharp, cryptic imagery and the repeated line “Something is happening here, but you don’t know what it is, do you, Mr. Jones?”, Dylan captures the cultural gap between the rising counterculture of the 1960s and those who felt confused or threatened by it.
The song is often interpreted as a scathing commentary on journalists, critics, or authority figures who failed to grasp the social and artistic upheaval of the era.
